Kathryn G. Hansen Publication Award

CUPA-HR National Conference, 2010

Created in 1986, this award is named for former CUPA-HR president Kathryn G. Hansen, who also served as an editor for the association. It recognizes an association member who authored a publication that made a significant contribution in the field of human resource administration.

On September 22, 2010 Edna Chun and Alvin Evans were awarded the prestigious Kathryn G. Hansen publication award for their new book Bridging the Diversity Divide: Globalization and Reciprocal Empowerment in Higher Education (Jossey-Bass, 2009). The award was presented at the national conference in New Orleans with 700 representatives from colleges and universities and the United States participating.

 

2010 South Florida Business Journal Excellence in Human Resources Award

In 2010, Dr. Chun was selected for the 2010 South Florida Business Journal Excellence in Human Resources Award, which honors human resources professionals who are responsible for combining the essential ingredients of recruitment, retention and teambuilding to create the perfect blend for their organizations.

2008 Dr. Chun Featured in In Focus Magazine’s “Women of Distinction”

Dr. Chun was featured in In Focus Magazine‘s fifteenth anniversary issue as a Woman of Distinction, recognized as a career achiever that exemplified personal and professional accomplishment within the community.

In 2007, Edna Chun received CUPA-HR’s prestigious Kathryn G. Hansen Publication Award for Are the Walls Really Down? Behavioral and Organizational Barriers to Faculty and Staff Diversity (Jossey-Bass, 2007). The award was presented at the CUPA-HR National Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.
